History and things to know

According to the official guide, it was long ago enshrined at Yoroizaki and called Ama Gozen, and in Meiji 2 it was renamed Amakazukime-sha. In Meiji 39 and 40 other shrines in the village were enshrined together with it and it took its present name, and in Shōwa 9 it was moved to its present site at Miya no Tani.
