History and things to know

The faith of making the round of Mt. Haguro, Mt. Gassan and Mt. Yudono is deeply tied to the history of Shugendō. The Sanjin Gōsaiden enshrines the three mountains together, but the history of each mountain and the places to worship there are kept distinct.
