Enshrined kami: 天機姫命
History and things to know
According to the shrine's tradition, it is said to have begun when 天機姫命 was welcomed as the kami who protects sericulture and weaving in the time of Emperor Yūryaku, and its name appears in the Mikawa no Kuni Kokunai Jinmyōchō of the Heian period. It was originally at a place called Hatori to the south, and in Keichō 10 (1605) a retainer of the Takeda family is said to have built shrine buildings in the present grounds and moved it there.
