History and things to know

According to shrine tradition, it is an ancient shrine also called Sannomiya, said to have been established about two thousand years ago. Its main sanctuary suffered in warfare in the Keichō era, was rebuilt with help from rōnin of the Toyotomi side, and the kami was moved into it in Genna 4. In Genbun 1, by order of the shogunate, a stone monument inscribed with the shrine's name and "多米社" was erected, and it still remains.
