Enshrined kami: Kodama Gentarō no Mikoto
History and things to know
According to the shrine's tradition, it began when Kodama Gentarō's friend Sugiyama Shigemaru built a shrine at his private residence in Mukōjima, Tokyo, for the third-year memorial of Kodama's death; it was later moved to Enoshima, which Kodama had often visited during his lifetime. The main shrine buildings were built in July of Taishō 10 (1921).
