History and things to know
According to the temple history, it was opened in Bunroku 1 by 教学院日利 and is a branch temple of Mamasan Guhō-ji in Ichikawa. With the river improvement works on the Edogawa, it moved its grounds during the Taishō and Shōwa periods, and the 36th abbot, 日透上人, is said to have filled in ponds and marshes and settled at the present site.
