History and things to know
According to the official guide, the present main hall was rebuilt in Kyōwa 3 (1803), and the Dainichi hall later, in Kaei 2 (1849). The wooden seated Dainichi Nyorai (Kongōkai) in the Dainichi hall was designated a cultural property of Tokyo in 1962, and is enshrined as a Dainichi triad together with the bodhisattvas Monju and Fugen.
