History and things to know
According to the official history, in Meiji 6 (1873) a southern hall enshrining Lord Naomasa was set up at Matsubara Jinja, which enshrines the domain's founder, and in Shōwa 8 (1933) his spirit was moved and Saga Jinja was founded. In the same year it was ranked as a bekkaku kanpeisha, and in Shōwa 23 (1948) Lord Naohiro was also enshrined together with him.
