History and things to know
According to the guide of the Okayama Prefecture Association of Shinto Shrines, it once stood at Kabera in the 大土井 area and is said to have moved to its present site in Kanshō 6. In Meiji 42 it was designated a shrine to receive official offerings of food and cloth (shinsen heihakuryō kyōshin jinja), and the following year outlying subsidiary shrines such as the village shrine Ōyamatsumi Jinja were enshrined together in it. Its buildings were rebuilt in the Kansei era and in Meiji 40, and in Heisei 6 the main sanctuary, offering hall and worship hall were rebuilt.
