History and things to know
The official history introduces the enshrined kami as Iyahiko no Ōkami and also as Amenokaguyama no Mikoto. The shrine buildings at the foot of the mountain and the Goshinbyō (sacred mausoleum) at the summit are in different places, so it is easier to decide which parts you will visit before you go.
