History and things to know
According to the official guide, it is said to have been built as a branch temple of Shōkō-ji. The 痢病導神 hall in the grounds preserves a tradition that about 250 years ago the elderly mother of the village head Usami lay seriously ill and recovered after her family recited the Kannon Sutra, and that Usami built a shrine and enshrined 痢病尊.
