History and things to know
According to the temple's official guide, it was built around the beginning of the Shōwa era by Nikken Shōnin, who had been the chief priest of Kyūshō-ji, the head temple in Mito. The main hall is a Yakushi hall built in Hōreki 7 (1757) and moved from Tochigi Prefecture, and a well associated with Oiwa-sama remains in the grounds.
