The name and role of Eki Dōji
Eki Dōji is one of the Eight Great Dōji of Fudō Myōō. Shōhōin introduces a form holding a jewel and a trident. In the transcription of the Butsuzō Zui presented by 鹿鳴文庫, the original buddha is recorded as Kaifukeō Butsu and the held objects as a jewel and a sanko (three-pronged implement). The details of the image are read separately according to how each source writes them.
