Mandara no Mida
曼荼羅弥陀

Mandara no Mida is a name for Amida associated with the mandalas of Esoteric Buddhism. Shōhōin explains that Amida is called Kanjizaiō Nyorai in the Diamond Realm and Muryōju Nyorai in the Womb Realm. Even for the same Amida, the names and ways of representation differ according to the lineage of sutras and mandalas.
This introduction is based on materials from Shōhōin (Tobi Fudō). It is summarized within the scope of the beliefs and traditions those materials convey, and does not present explanations or customs common to all schools, shrines, and temples.

A mudra marked by the direction of the hands
This source introduces a hand position it calls the mudra of the three bodies (sanshin no in). The right palm faces forward and the left palm faces oneself. Images of Amida also have other mudras, such as one representing meditation and one of the welcoming descent (raigō), and this entry conveys one such type.
