History and things to know
According to the official guide, its predecessor is said to be Zenpuku-ji, which received its temple name in Kan'ei 16 (1639). After a fire in Taishō 6, a reinforced-concrete temple in the Indian Buddhist style was completed in Shōwa 5, and in Shōwa 35 it came directly under the head temple and was named Honganji Kobe Betsuin. The present building was newly built in Heisei 7.
