History and things to know
According to the official guide, it is said to have been founded in Bunroku 2 (1593) by the priest 秀栄, who received temple lands from the Mōri clan, in the former Kobiki-chō, in front of today's Peace Park. After it lost all its buildings in the atomic bombing, the main hall was rebuilt on the same site, and in Shōwa 42 (1967), with urban development as the occasion, it moved to Hesaka.
