History and things to know
According to temple tradition, it began when the 高内 family donated a hermitage, which was named Kōnen-ji with the priest 了達 as its founder. In the Genroku era it became a branch temple of Sainen-ji in Shinjuku and changed to its present temple name, and the present wooden main hall was completed in Shōwa 61.
