History and things to know
According to the official guide, it is said to have been built in Enpō 8 (1680) by Lord Shigenobu, the 29th head of the Nanbu family. Damaged by disasters such as the Great Morioka Fire of Meiji 17 (1884) and by many years of wind and snow, the shrine buildings were rebuilt again and again, and the present vermilion shrine buildings were rebuilt in December of Heisei 9.
