History and things to know

According to shrine tradition, the date of its founding is not known in detail, and its predecessor is said to have been a small shrine, 白篠稲荷, where a kami of rice was enshrined at the water source of this area. It is recorded as Shirasasa Inari in the Shinpen Sagami Fudoki, completed in Tenpō 12 (1841), and the shrine officially states that offerings from the beginning of the Edo period also survive.
