History and things to know

The shrine passes down an old form of faith that has no main sanctuary and regards nature as the sacred body. The official explanation describes Takeminakata no Kami as a kami of wind and rain and of opening up the land, and introduces his connection with prayers for farming, hunting, voyages and more.

Introduced by this site, based on materials from the shrine or temple and public bodies.
