Faith in recovery from illness and in starting to walk again

Takakamo Jinja explains that people bring to its principal kami, Ajishikitakahikone no Mikoto, faith connected with renewal, such as recovery from illness, a baby's first shrine visit and the great purification. He is also revered as a kami who awakens the path that people walk. This introduces the divine virtues carried on at the shrine, separately from the funeral scene in the Kojiki.
