English rendering of the Japanese reader’s section 06. The 24 divisions are this site’s editorial divisions, not original chapters.
English rendering
Such a person is called good. People respect them, the way of heaven assists them, blessings accompany them, evil withdraws and spirits protect them. Their undertakings succeed, and immortality may be hoped for. One seeking to become a heavenly immortal must establish thirteen hundred good deeds; one seeking to become an earthly immortal must establish three hundred.
