History and things to know
According to the temple's history, although the date of its founding is unclear, it is regarded as an old temple, and in Ōei 2 it was restored by the hōin 憲明 of the jingūji of Suwa Shimosha. Around Meireki 2 it moved from its mountain temple site to its present location, and the present main hall was built in Kansei 5. Because the jingūji was abolished in the Meiji anti-Buddhist movement, its Senju Kannon and Niō statues were moved to this temple.
