History and things to know
According to the temple's guide, it began when the priest 淳岩 opened it at Awano in the Keichō era. It moved to its present location in Mitahora-higashi in Shōwa 48, and in Heisei 29, under the fifth head priest, 宗心, the main hall and priests' quarters were rebuilt, as they stand today.
