A wise old man who shows the way across the sea

In the Kojiki, Shiotsuchi no Kami builds a small boat for Hoori no Mikoto and shows him the way to the palace of the sea kami. Because he appears in the Nihon Shoki under names such as Shiotsuchi no Oji, he is drawn here as a white-haired old man. While keeping the names and ways of telling in each book distinct, please look at his role as a guide on the sea.
