Shirayama Hime Jinja enshrines Shirayamahime no Ōkami as Kukurihime no Mikoto. This is connected with faith that looks up to Hakusan and reveres its blessings, and with climbing the mountain in worship, and leads on to the tradition that spread to Hakusan Jinja shrines in many regions.

This page introduces myths and the faith handed down at individual shrines, with their sources. Descriptions of divine virtues are explanations within religious faith and do not guarantee the outcome of any prayer. Prayers for harmony and for forming bonds

Shirayama Hime Jinja introduces the connection between “kukuri” in the name and kukuru (to bind together), and tells of reverence for her as a kami of harmony and of forming bonds (enmusubi). We present this as the shrine's faith, in which people pray for harmony between people and for good bonds.

Mediation at the border of Yomi

Shirayama Hime Jinja's explanation of the Nihon Shoki introduces Kukurihime no Mikoto as mediating between Izanagi no Mikoto and Izanami no Mikoto as they face each other at the border of Yomi. We have not invented and added words or conversations that are not in the sources.
